Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana will now provide assistance on the birth of another child, find out what is this scheme and how to get the benefit

Pregnant women of the family are assisted under Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY). Under this amount women are given assistance of Rs.5000. Now the central government has changed its rules. Now a woman who has become pregnant again in the family or a woman who is breastfeeding can once again get the assistance amount, but the condition is that the second child should be a daughter.

The central government has taken this decision to encourage daughters. This rule will be implemented from 1st April 2022. Apart from this, schemes like Mission Shakti, Mission Vatsalya, Saksham Anganwadi can also be revised from 1st April. Informing about the scheme, the Ministry of Women and Child Development said that it has collaborated with the Bureau of Police Research and Development (BRR & D). Secretary Indewar Pandey informed about the reforms in the scheme.

On behalf of the Central Government, pregnant women and pregnant women are given in three installments under this scheme. The government may increase this amount in the near future. Also, this money can be given in two installments with three installments. After the second child is born, you can benefit again.

Under this scheme the amount of 5000 is given in three installments. The first installment is Rs.1000 at the time of application, the second installment is given at birth and the third installment is given after vaccinating the child against polio and measles.

Who and how can benefit
To avail the benefits of the scheme, the woman also needs to have Application Form A, MCP Card, Proof of Identity, Bank, Post Office or Account Passbook. To be eligible under the scheme, claims for at least one antenatal check-up must be submitted along with documents along with application form A B and NCP card 180 days after the pregnancy. Apart from this many vaccinations are also required after the birth of the child. You can apply at the nearest health center.
